Rayo’s flirtation with De Tomas ended with a kiss and a complaint
Rayo Vallecano tried until the last minute to sign Espanyol’s Raul De Tomas but the flirtation ended ingloriously when a brawl resulted in the Madrid president being injured and hospitalized.
Raul De Tomas has been left out of Espanyol manager Diego Martinez’s plans and that fact has made him one of the most sought-after players in the football market, with Rayo Vallecano looking to sign him just before the end of the summer transfer window but to eat their face . It is understood that following this incident, De Tomas seems unlikely to join Rayo anytime soon, as the latest reports from Spain suggest the player is currently close to a deal with Saudi Arabia’s Sharjah, at a time when where the transfer window ends have closed in most European leagues.
