Lance was beaten 1-0 by Lyon in the Bollar Delis, leaving them far behind in the race for Europe via Ligue 1.

THE lance was at her best throughout the game against Lyon at the Bollar Delis, but struggled until she scored the winner 1-0 as part of the 9th matchday of Ligue 1.

The hosts controlled the pace and were the only team motivated to attack, but they crashed into the ‘wall’ erected by Sinali Diomande.

The chances of the “Lanchois” didn’t have a happy ending, but they were significantly better than those of Peter Bosz’s players, who had no opportunity to approach the opponent’s area with any claims.

Lance’s solution came in the 82nd minute when Thiago Mendes handballed the ball into the box and Florian Sotoka made it 1-0.

Marco Verratti has agreed to all the terms of Paris Saint-Germain’s new deal, which runs until the summer of 2026, with both sides expected to sign an extension soon.

The number of Italian footballers who left their homeland at a young age to try their luck in another major European league and at a high level can be counted on one hand, Marco Verratti being a typical yet shining example.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder worked wonders for Pescara (helping them rise to Serie A) at the start of the last decade and that fact opened the door to Paris, where the French club made him their club in the summer of 2012 and since then to be his key and irreplaceable executive.

His current contract with the Parisians expires in 2024 but all indications are that his association with Paris will surpass 12 years, with reports from France and Italy claiming that an agreement has been reached to extend the two sides’ collaboration.

“Marco Verratti has accepted all the details of the new contract offered by Paris, the lawyers have given their approval and the signatures will be signed soon. The new contract runs until 2026.”reports the renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

It should be noted that Verratti wore the Paris shirt a total of 398 times during his entire time living at the Parc des Princes, with a record of 11 goals and 61 assists, which he won, among others, 8 championships and 6 French cups.

Al Khelaifi: “If the Mayor of Paris does not accept our offer, we will leave the Parc des Princes”

Paris Saint-Germain has submitted a purchase proposal for the Parc des Princes, but is in constant dispute with the city administration. Indeed, in his interview with Equipe, Nasser Al Khelaifi argued that if the community does not accept the offer, the withdrawal is inevitable.

Paris Saint-Germain strongman Nasser Al Khelaifi spoke to French newspaper Equipe, including threatening to leave the Parc des Princes if the two sides fail to reach an agreement.

The Parisians have submitted a proposal to the French capital’s local authority to buy the stadium, however, the two sides have a financial difference.

Khelaifi, in particular, told the French newspaper: “I have a question. What is the value of the Parc des Princes without Paris? none. The mayor should be wondering what the team is bringing to the city of Paris. If they think we’re going to invest 500 million euros, we can just build another stadium.

I told the mayor that if they don’t take our offer, we’ll leave. We don’t threaten. We will shake hands, thank him and leave“.

An alternative plan, should the two sides fail to reach an agreement, is for Paris to play at the Stade de France.

Earlier, one of the partners of the Mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire, reported on this issue: “We have not categorically ruled out a sale, but only at the right price. Paris offers 40 million euros. For Paredes it is less. Really now; Do you think Parc des Princes is worth less than Paredes, which was acquired for €50m?“.
