Lionel Messi’s entourage has denied information from an Argentine journalist about the 35-year-old superstar’s safe return to Barcelona in the summer.

The reaction of Lionel Messi’s entourage to an Argentine journalist’s information about his return to Barcelona in the summer of 2023 was immediate.

Gaston Edoul, another journalist from his compatriot who works for TyC Sports, a media outlet with access to the Parisian superstar, claimed that Messi’s entourage refutes reports of his return to the team where he has spent most of his career.

In fact, he states that Veronica Brunati’s information comes from ‘Blaugrana’ and not Messi. He adds that the 35-year-old forward only thinks of Paris’ goals in the Champions League and Argentina’s national team at the World Cup.

Finally, in a tweet, he emphasizes that the French will be very insistent on the renewal of Messi’s contract, with the current agreement expiring on June 30, 2023.

Al Khelaifi: “If the Mayor of Paris does not accept our offer, we will leave the Parc des Princes”

Paris Saint-Germain has submitted a purchase proposal for the Parc des Princes, but is in constant dispute with the city administration. Indeed, in his interview with Equipe, Nasser Al Khelaifi argued that if the community does not accept the offer, the withdrawal is inevitable.

Paris Saint-Germain strongman Nasser Al Khelaifi spoke to French newspaper Equipe, including threatening to leave the Parc des Princes if the two sides fail to reach an agreement.

The Parisians have submitted a proposal to the French capital’s local authority to buy the stadium, however, the two sides have a financial difference.

Khelaifi, in particular, told the French newspaper: “I have a question. What is the value of the Parc des Princes without Paris? none. The mayor should be wondering what the team is bringing to the city of Paris. If they think we’re going to invest 500 million euros, we can just build another stadium.

I told the mayor that if they don’t take our offer, we’ll leave. We don’t threaten. We will shake hands, thank him and leave“.

An alternative plan, should the two sides fail to reach an agreement, is for Paris to play at the Stade de France.

Earlier, one of the partners of the Mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire, reported on this issue: “We have not categorically ruled out a sale, but only at the right price. Paris offers 40 million euros. For Paredes it is less. Really now; Do you think Parc des Princes is worth less than Paredes, which was acquired for €50m?“.
