Four managers on United list, Rangnik’s role in new season uncertain
Manchester United have four managers on their roster for the new season, according to a Sky Sports article, while Rangnik’s role in the new season may not be as ‘independent’.
Manchester United are going through one of the worst (if not the worst) seasons in their modern history, having been stripped of all their goals very early in the year and already gradually planning the club’s next day.
Sky Sports reports that the role Ralph Rangnick will play in the new season may not be as originally intended. The Germany coach would take up a position in the team with similar responsibilities to sporting director but the new data suggests he won’t have as much independence.
The role Rangnik will take on is advisory in the sense that he will pass on his knowledge of football combined with his experience from across the team as a coach. However, it is very likely that in the new season he will not be as independent as the article says.
Four trainers on their list
The approach to Thomas Tuchel did not have the desired success for the team, with the result that the leaders of the Red Devils distanced themselves from the German coach of Chelsea FC.
The same Sky Sports report says four coaches are on the United States roster for the new season. Mauricio Pochettino and Eric Ten Hach are the best prospects and have been the subject of much discussion in the past.
The list also includes Sevilla’s Julien Lopetegui and Spain’s Luis Enrique. Notably, none of the four coaches are left vacant at the end of the season. However, United are optimistic of reaching an agreement with any of the four managers by the end of the season.

After 13 months of negotiations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired 25% of Manchester United’s shares for £1.25 billion (€1.44 billion).
The British billionaire will take charge of the club’s football operations and says he will invest 272 million euros ($300 million) in Old Trafford. At the same time, he made a proposal to acquire a further share of the shares (up to 25%).
In order for the deal to be finalized and formally concluded, it must be approved by all bodies, including the Premier League, as is the case with such deals.

One step away from finalizing an agreement with River Plate is Manchester City, where they are finalizing a deal to acquire 17-year-old Argentina’s next big thing, Claudio Etcheverry, for over €20 million.
Manchester City are investing in young talent and want to do so again like they did with Julián Alvarez. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Citizens have reached an agreement with River Plate to acquire the 17-year-old Claudio Etcheveri.
The world champion will pay the clause in his contract Argentina’s next big thing, which amounts to over 20 million euros.
The two sides are in the final stages of concluding the contract, after which Mr Etceveri will remain on loan at River until the end of the season, when his contract with the club will expire.
Etcheverry shone for Argentina at the U17 World Cup, scoring a hat-trick against Brazil in the quarter-finals.
