It is possible that this will involve a ‘move’ by the association to take on refereeing costs for the rest of the league, which has been the case for the previous two years.

At the same time, it was decided to submit a request to the EPA to extend the championship end date from May 28 to June 18 in order to decompress the schedule.

What the Super League 2 announcement says in detail: The Super League 2 Board of Directors has been completed and members have been briefed on the following issues:

1) Meeting of the President, Mr. Martsoukos, with his EPO counterpart, Mr. Baltako, at which the latter agreed to assist in finding solutions for the category’s financial support.

2) It has been decided to apply to the EPO to extend the end date of the Betsson Super League 2 Championship from May 28th to June 18th 2023.

Kifissia: “United as always to achieve the great goal”

Kifisia congratulated Apollon Smyrnis on their fair win a day after their first loss of the season but stressed that this negative result does not alter the Northern Suburbs’ goal of promotion to the Stoiximan Super League.

On Monday (20/3) Kifissia suffered their first loss of the season against Apollon Smyrnis 2:3, and a day later the Northern Suburbs team congratulated the Rizoupoli club on their fair victory.

In the announcement of the Kifissia team, they emphasize that despite the first defeat, nothing will change in the goal of promotion and that everyone in the club will fight for it until the end.

The relevant announcement states:

PAE Kifissia congratulates PAE Apollon Smyrna on the fair victory they got in the match between us which was shocking in the course and confirmed the great quality of the Betsson Super League 2 Championship.

However, the negative result doesn’t change the big picture for our team. Since the start of the season, Kifissia has (un)proved that it is well structured, organized and committed to its goal. Nobody has signed a contract with a win in a football marathon.

Everyone (administration, coaches, footballers) will continue the hard work with even greater perseverance and patience. Confidence in the potential of the team and its members remains unshakable. United as always, we will remain committed to the tremendous effort we make every day to achieve the great goal.

That’s why we want to have you all with us for our team’s next home game against the Ilioupolis team.

To put our motto into practice: Go even higher!
