Andreas Tettei on Sportish: “Movement with Kifisia is a lifelong dream”
Kifisia managed promotion to the Stoiximan Super League for the first time in its history and Andreas Tettei, one of the pillars of the Northern Suburbs team’s promotion, spoke to Sportish about one of the dreams he achieved, the efforts that were rewarded , but also the love that the children show in his face.
June 11, 2023 marks a milestone in the history of Kifissia as they celebrated promotion to the Stoiximan Super League for the first time in their history.
Giorgos Petrakis’ side have been top of Group B of Super League 2 all season and stayed there until the end in a great battle with Athens’ Kallithea. Kifissia has been promoted to the first division, how do you like it?
“I am happy and proud that a year’s efforts have been rewarded. We were never second, we were always first and I think it’s fair that we went up, we deserved it 100%.“.
Many children come to you and ask for autographs, even for your shoes, for them you are an idol. How do you feel about this?
“In any case, this is very beautiful and makes me very happy. These guys give me strength and inspiration to try harder and get better“.
Has climbing with Kifisia fulfilled any of your dreams?
“I’ve achieved things I dreamed of, but what I think I keep to myself and don’t want to share. What I have said so far has come true and I am very happy and grateful for what I have experienced with the team, especially this year which has been a sweet and dreamy season“.

“When Kalamata’s goal came, I thought we could equalize. Because I knew the mentality and the way we work, I knew that we would give everything to get to the point we wanted. In the end the goal came and it really is the dream of my life“.
Since when do you think this team can advance to the Stoiximan Super League?
“Since the beginning of this year. In the preparation I saw that the entire team did an excellent job under the guidance of the coach. We were passionate, we beat each other in training, we gave everything. But that showed how badly we want it“.
How do you see your future? Your name has played for many teams.
“I can’t comment on that now. We will see“.

The biography of Dimitris Spanos
Dimitris Spanos was born on July 13, 1969 in Aigio. As a footballer, he played in the 1st national team of Ionikos, in the 2nd national team of Atromito and Paneiyalio and in the 3rd national team of Byzantium Megaron and Anagennisi Artas.
His coaching career began in 2005 when he took over the technical management of Anagennisi Arta and from then on he began a long and successful career. He worked in: Agia Salamina, Rhodes, Panachaiki, Panegialeio, Aeolian Mytilini, Ermionida Union, Lamia, Apollon Smyrna, Panegialeio, Ari and Corfu. With Aris he even celebrated promotion to the Super League, as he was the coach who led the Thessalonians to the big leagues.
The experienced technician took over the management of Ionikos in the summer of 2020 and celebrated promotion to the first league. In fact, his first season in the Super League was extremely successful as the team finished 7th and achieved a record number of points in the play-outs. “He left as a friend in January 2023 and is returning to take the team back to where it belongs”!

Giorgos Simos has left the technical leadership of Ionikos since Wednesday (21/12), with the Nice team’s administration announcing the end of cooperation between the two teams.
Giorgos Simos took over from Ionikos at the start of the season but did not stay at the helm for more than a few months as the Blues’ management announced on Wednesday (21/12) their decision for the two teams to part ways.
“I would like to thank the entire Ionikos family who made me feel like I was a part of it from day one. Of course I would like to thank the players, my partners and the people in the team.”

Levadeiakos found a replacement for Nikos Nioplia in the person of Sokratis Ofrydopoulos when the Boeotians announced the signing of the 50-year-old Greek technician on Tuesday afternoon (December 19).
Time Socrates Ofrydopoulos and officially for Levadeiakos, with the 50-year-old Greek coach sitting on Viiote’s bench for the remainder of Super League 2.
The former AEK B’ coach replaces Nikos Nioplias, who recently terminated his contract with Levadeiakos.
Ofrydopoulos has not been on the bench since the summer of 2023, when his association with AEK’s second team, which he coached in 46 games, ended.

Sokratis Ofrydopoulos was born on October 26, 1973 and returns to the Levadeiako family after two and a half years, having completed an important journey in Greek football both as a coach and as a player.
He competed on many major league teams for years while working as a coach with Alimos, Lamia (assistant coach) and Atromitos (academy coach). He had two different terms in Panachaiki and also completed Doxa Drama in the previous two years. He was coach of AEK B. In the final of the 2021/22 season he even sat on the bench of AEK’s first team.
His direct partner will be Nikos Karabetakis. Born on May 17, 1971, he served in Iraklis, Doxa Drama, Agrotiko Astera, OFI, Ialyssos and Triglia, while his last stop was Apollon Paralimniou, which he led and achieved to a historic success last year – as a team from the 3rd National – in the quarterfinals of the Greek Cup.
