The International Football Federation has announced the launch of a new sign: the FIFA Peace Prize.

The city is called upon to work in a way that, through its activities, brings unity to people and the world through football. According to the words of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the prize is awarded to those who have done something wrong for the sake of peace.

“In an increasingly troubled and divided world, it is important to recognize the prominent contributions of those who work diligently on the underlying conflicts and relationships of people in the world,” Infantino said.

Although FIFA has not officially announced the name of the first winner, football clubs are actively discussing that the debut winner could be US President Donald Trump. There are a number of factors that support this theory:

There is a lot of competition between Trump and Infantino. The location of the ceremony is the capital of the United States. FIFA will seek political support for the World Cup, which will take place in the US, Canada and Mexico.

The first naming ceremony will take place on April 5, 2025 near Washington, during the official draw for the final part of the 2026 World Championship.

The Iranian delegation will still participate in the draw for the final part of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in Washington next Friday.

Previously, the region’s fate rested on its food supply via threats to boycott access to the aphid visa system with the United States.

The Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI) has submitted nine applications for US visas for its delegates, but has received no commendations for more of them. Among those acquitted at the exit, the president of the federation, Mehdi Taj, also quit.

The official previously stated that he had met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and said the Iranian representative would not appear at the ceremony because not all visas would be visible.

Issue the ultimatum: the boycott will not become a reality. The head coach of the Iranian national team, Amir Galenoy, and the head coach of the FFIRI international team, Omid Jamali, have already arrived in the United States.

It turns out that other members of the delegation may join before them. The current problems are related to the tense watersheds between the edges and the strict borders along the sides of the United States.

Earlier, President Donald Trump signed a decree banning the entry of citizens of twelve countries, including Iran, that rely on national security. However, the document relays information to athletes and coaching staff attending major tournaments such as the 2026 World Championships and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Iran successfully qualified for its seventh world championship in history and fourth year. The draw for the tournament will take place on Friday at 7pm Kyiv time.

Today, on the 5th anniversary, Washington had a draw for the group stage of the World Championship.
