FIFA integrates TikTok during broadcast of 2026 state of emergency

FIFA has officially announced a strategic partnership with the TikTok platform for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Athletic reports on the situation.

Between now and then, video clips of matches from the upcoming World Cup will be broadcast live on TikTok in real time. The main goal of the project is to create a new view of football for a global audience, and to acquire new fans before they enter the field.

In addition to live gaming events, FIFA will give its local team of content creators special access to national team training sessions and pre-conferences. Based on TikTok data, users who watch sports content on the go are 42% more likely to click through to the next match broadcast.

The platform will also become a source of practical information for fans, tracking bets on World Cup matches. To increase your earnings, interactive game elements are available, including filters and themed stickers.

TikTok has previously collaborated with the Burnley women’s team, the European Women’s Championship, the World Club Championship and the Bangladesh Women’s Super League. Beyond football, the platform is expanding its presence in sports through partnerships with the tennis ATP Tour and the PGA Tour golf tournament.

Sports doctor: “This is very disappointing news for the Ukrainian national team”

sports doctor Dmitry Babelyuk Roma commented on the news about the serious injury of the striker of “Roma” and the Ukrainian national team Artem Dovbik:

“No wonder I was surprised at the 2-week forecast… Dovbik flew for another 2 months. This can still be interpreted as a relapse, since such a period indicates a doubling of the previous recovery. It is highly likely that the tendon will be involved in the injury again.

The club is a club, but this injury raises serious doubts about Artem’s participation in important matches of the national team in the World Cup qualifiers. It’s mid-January. Ideally, Dovbik will recover at least by mid-March. The match with Sweden is already on March 26. Everything becomes very risky and compressed according to the retreat plan, and in order to recover and get fit, Artem will need to accelerate his recovery once again. “This is very disappointing news for both the player and the team.”

UAF explained what awaits the Ukrainian national team in 2026.

If Sergei Rebrov’s team gets there, the main event will be the 2026 World Cup and the qualifying matches for the World Cup. In addition, the Ukrainian national team will compete in the Nations League and get to know its opponents in the Euro 2028 qualifiers.

World Cup 2026

Sergei Rebrov’s team, which will host Sweden on March 26 in the Path B semi-finals of the European play-offs, will compete with the winner of the Poland-Albania doubles if they win the final to be played on March 31. Matches will start at 21:45 Kyiv time.

In the 2026 World Cup final tournament, the winner of Path B will play in Group F, where they will play three matches: against Tunisia in Monterrey on June 15, against the Netherlands in Houston on the 20th, and against Japan in Dallas on the 26th.

Nations League 2026/2027

The draw for the group stage of the next stage of the Nations League, 2026/2027, will be held in Brussels on February 12. On that day, the Ukrainian national team, which will compete in the B League, will get to know their opponents.

B League

Basket 2: Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Ukraine.

Basket 3: Slovenia, Georgia, Ireland, Romania.

Euro 2028

The Ukrainian team will learn their opponents in the qualifying tournament draw to be held in Belfast (Northern Ireland) on December 6.

There will be 12 qualifying groups consisting of four or five teams. The hosts of the tournament (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) will be in different groups and participate in the qualifiers.

The 12 group winners and the top eight runners-up will directly qualify for the Euro 2028 final tournament. Two places in the final tournament will be reserved for the two best-seeded host nations that did not finish first or second in their group upon completion of the qualifying group stage.

The remaining places will be distributed via play-offs between the second-placed teams in the qualifying groups and the winners of the 2026/2027 Nations League groups that did not qualify for Euro 2028. Continental championship qualifiers will begin in March 2027.
