“Who calls Daria a traitor – bastards.” Reztsova confirmed that Virolainen will still play for Finland

Two-time Olympic biathlon champion Anfisa Reztsova, the mother of Russian biathlete Daria Virolainen, called those who consider her daughter a traitor for her decision to compete for Finland “bastards”

Last weekend, Virolainen finished second in the individual race at the Finnish Summer Biathlon Championships. She has been living in this country for six years. Former Virolainen coach Leonid Myakishev told Match TV that the athlete could start playing for Finland in the new season. Reztsova previously told Match TV that Virolainen has Finnish citizenship.

It’s the bastards who call her a traitor. Dashenka will compete a little for Finland, and then they will let us into Russia, and she will compete for Russia! Definitely! – Reztsova said on the air of Match TV.

– Will it be for Russia later?

– Well, of course. As soon as they let us in, she will play for Russia.

— Now for Finland?

– He will perform, because a person has been involved in sports for many, many years. Will play for Finland a little. A little bit! I contact her almost every day. She doesn’t bother anyone. What she does, she does.
