Anastasia and Natalia Shevchenko will miss the Commonwealth Cup in Belarus
Russian biathletes Anastasia and Natalia Shevchenko will not take part in the second stage of the PARI Commonwealth Cup, said the personal trainer of the athletes Mikhail Shashilov.
– Nastya still admits a possible participation in the mass start on Sunday, but we will definitely not see Natalya here on the track. They fell ill, apparently, picked up the virus during an in-depth medical examination in Moscow, and the local cold aggravated this matter. They missed three training days, had a slight fever and a runny nose. Now everything is in order with them, they are training at the reserve shooting range according to their program. In Tchaikovsky we will see them at the start.
Shooting from Natalya, who came from skiing, is pretty good. In training, she shows good results, but has not yet moved on to tight integrated work. We planned to start here, but so far we have made minor adjustments. It’s okay, we will try our best in Tchaikovsky, – Metaratings.ru quotes Shashilov.
The second stage of the Commonwealth Cup will be held in Belarusian Raubichi from 15 to 18 September.
