American Chloe Kim, big favorite in the halfpipe event, won the gold medal Thursday at the Beijing Olympics.

It’s a second consecutive gold medal for the 21-year-old star, following her victory in Pyeonchang in 2018.

Two Canadians were in contention in the final, with Elizabeth Hosking and Brooke D’Hodt competing.

Hosking put in the best performance, finishing 6th, while the 16-year-old H’Dodt took 10th place.

The silver and bronze medals were won by Spain’s Queralt Castellet and Japan’s Sena Tomita, respectively.
