Gatiyatulin is sure that Kravtsov has a great desire to play for Traktor

The head coach of the Chelyabinsk “Tractor” Anvar Gatiyatulin said that Vitaly Kravtsov, who became the club’s top scorer in the playoffs, wants to stay in the team.

— I was pleasantly surprised by Vitaly Kravtsov, who became Traktor’s best scorer in the playoffs. Do you think he has matured?

“Of course, I have matured,” Gatiyatullin told Sport24. – Gains experience, including life. This can be seen in relation to hockey. For me it is not surprising that he played the playoffs at a good level. But there is work to be done, he knows it.

– Do you have to patronize him more than other players? Maybe talk in person?

— Vitaly is as much a part of the team as every one of our players. I can tell any player, both in training and one on one.

– Kravtsov scored more than half of his goals in the playoffs from a dime, after finishing or substitutions. Is it your wish that he go there, or did Vitaly himself realize that you can’t score much from clean ice?

– I agree that the lion’s share of goals is scored from a penny – we always remind all hockey players of this. We have intensified work on the majority. We found the optimal place for Vitalik on the court during the draw. I think this move paid off. But due to injuries to Lukash and Tem, before the series with Metallurg, they had to redraw the schemes and move Kravtsov to the left flank.

– Did you voice Kravtsov that you want to see him next year in Traktor? Do you have relevant arguments?

We talked, of course. Let the details of our conversation remain confidential. But what I can say for sure is that he has a great desire to play for Traktor. The rest they have to decide with the agent.

In June 2018, Kravtsov was selected ninth overall in the NHL Rookie Draft by the New York Rangers.

In 15 games of the Gagarin Cup this season, 22-year-old Kravtsov scored 10 points (7+3).
