Canadian from Traktor Fucale: “Everything that Kuznetsov said is true. KHL is a wonderful league”

Canadian Traktor goalkeeper Zach Fucale spoke about his communication with Evgeny Kuznetsov before moving to the Chelyabinsk club.

At the 2013 draft, Fucale was selected in the second round by the most titled NHL club, the Montreal Canadiens, and in September he signed a rookie contract with the club. In the league, in addition to the Canadian club, he also played in Washington together with Kuznetsov, and since 2023 he has been playing for Traktor Chelyabinsk.

— Kuznetsov, another Capitals player at that time, recommended you to Traktor. What did he tell you about the team and the city? As always, he laughed it off with journalists.

– Yes, he is a cheerful guy. He said I would really enjoy playing here. And he was absolutely right. He grew up here. Told me about the team, the fans, everything. He basically convinced me to come here. I’m very glad I made this decision. Everything he told me is true. It’s a great league, they treat me very well and it’s fun here,” Sport24 quotes Fucale as saying.

On Wednesday, Traktor beat Admiral with a score of 2:0 in a home match of the FONBET KHL Championship, scored 20 points and takes first place in the Eastern Conference standings.
