German Edmonton forward Draisaitl scored 1000 points in the NHL faster than Malkin and Ovechkin
German Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl scored 1,000 points in the NHL regular season and took fifth place in the number of matches spent on this achievement among hockey players born outside of North America, the league’s press service reports.
On Tuesday, Draisaitl had four assists in a 6-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The forward has 1003 points (416+587) in 824 NHL games. Draisaitl reached 1,000 points faster than Russian forwards Evgeni Malkin (848 games), Alexander Ovechkin (880) and Alexander Mogilny (947).
The Czech Peter Stastny spent the fewest number of matches to score 1000 points – 682. Of the active hockey players who were not born in North America, Russian Nikita Kucherov overcame the milestone the fastest – 809 games.
Draisaitl is 30 years old and is the winner of the Art Ross Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award.

Tampa Bay defeated Philadelphia 5:1 in NHL regular season play and won their tenth straight meeting.
In the East, the Lightning are in third place, losing one point to Carolina and Detroit. Moreover, today the Red Wings defeated the Hurricanes 4:3 in overtime and won for the fourth time in a row.
Among other results, we note Florida’s victory over Buffalo and the champion’s efforts to move up the rankings. The Panthers sit second to last in the Atlantic Division and are already seven points behind the top 3.
In the West, Edmonton beat Chicago and Connor McDavid continues his point streak, which now stands at 19 games.

The Ukrainian hockey championship match took place between the leader Sokol and the foreigner Krizhinka.
The meeting is expected to end in favor of the favorite, the score was 4:0. Sokol also managed to pin down his opponent only in the third period and scored three goals against the opponent.
