Super match in the NHL: Draisaitl’s 1000 points, McDavid’s 4 points, Crosby’s game
The main match of the big day in the NHL was the matchup between Pittsburgh and Edmonton, Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid.
But the real hero was Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl, who had a league-high four assists and scored 1,003 points. The player became the first German in NHL history to score 1,000 or more points.
McDavid scored 4 points and the Oilers won 6:4.
Sidney Crosby scored a point for the Penguins and was one point behind Mario Lemieux, the top scorer in club history.
Interestingly, the clubs changed their goalkeepers last week and today Stuart Skinner and Tristan Jarry played against their former teams.
Among other results, we also note Toronto’s 3:2 victory over Chicago. At the same time, Maple lost 0:2, but they made a comeback in the third period by scoring two goals in 8 seconds.
Colorado’s hockey players are ahead in the West, and next to them is Minnesota, which beat Washington 5-0 and won its fifth straight game.
Young San Jose forward McClean Celebrini continues to excel. The player scored four points and the Sharks beat Calgary 6:3. Celebrini is in the top 3 in the season’s top scorers race.
