NHL. San Jose’s unreal comeback, McDavid’s double, Florida and Islanders success
Leading the NHL in the East remains Carolina, which beat Philadelphia and won its third straight game, but the New York Islanders unexpectedly moved into the top 2.
The New York Islanders defeated Tampa Bay and snapped a five-game home winning streak. And Matthew Schaefer, the first overall pick in the 2025 Draft, scored his ninth goal of the season.
Among other conference results, we note Florida’s 4-0 win over Dallas thanks to Marchand’s three points. The Panthers finished in the top 5 in the Atlantic Division.
Colorado continues to lead the West. The Avalanche beat Nashville and won their 11th straight game on the ice. MacKinnon’s two points allow the forward to lead the scoring race with 55 points.
Edmonton defeated Toronto 6-3 in a strong game in which Connor McDavid had a brace and an assist and Leon Draisaitl had three assists.
McDavid once again showed his incredible speed in goal.
This incredible match was won by the San Jose Sharks, who defeated Pittsburgh 6:5 in overtime despite being behind 1:5 in the third period. Celebrini scored a three-pointer and Crosby scored his 19th goal of the season for the Penguins.
