The Edmonton Oilers beat the Nashville Predators on their ice in a regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The meeting at the Rogers Place arena in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) ended with a score of 6:2 (1:0, 3:0, 2:2).

Connor McDavid scored a hat trick for the Oilers, and Curtis Lazar, Kasperi Kapanen and Leon Draisaitl also scored a puck. Russian forward Vasily Podkolzin made two assists and has 18 points (9+9) in 43 matches. Ryan O’Reilly and Nick Blankenburg scored for the Predators.

A terrible situation occurred in the middle of the first period of the ongoing Ukrainian hockey championship match between Sokol and Krizhinka Capitals at the ATEK ice rink in Kiev. Krizhinka’s 27-year-old forward Vasily-Yuriy Kachan lost consciousness while on the bench.

Sokol doctor Elizaveta Khimich was the first to help the hockey player, who started this season in Sokol and was a two-time Ukrainian champion with this team. He was later joined by representatives of the ambulance team. At these moments, players, coaches and team staff looked very scared. Yuri’s beloved Elizaveta Ustinina, herself a former hockey player, watched the events in tears.
