Dynamo Minsk beat Admiral in the KHL match, Shipachev reached the 1000 points mark

Dynamo Minsk defeated Admiral from Vladivostok in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.

The meeting in Minsk ended with the score 2:1 (0:0, 0:1, 2:0). Alex Limoges and Vadim Moroz scored for the hosts; both goals were scored during the last five minutes of regular time. Igor Geraskin scored the puck for Admiral, and goalkeeper Arseniy Tsyba became one of the forward’s assistants.

Dynamo forward Vadim Shipachev at the end of the third period gave an assist to Moroz’s winning goal. Thus, the 38-year-old forward now has 1000 points (314 goals and 686 assists) in the KHL. He was the first in league history to reach this mark.

Dynamo Minsk interrupted a series of three defeats and, with 59 points, is third in the Western Conference standings, Admiral (34) is 11th in the East

In the next match, the Minsk club will play away with Severstal Cherepovets on January 15, and Admiral will host Metallurg Magnitogorsk on January 17.

Defending champion Florida beat Chicago 5-1 in NHL regular season play, capturing its sixth win in its last eight games.

The Panthers sit sixth in the Atlantic Division, four points behind the top 3.

Among other results, we note foreign player Ottawa’s unexpected victory over Vegas with a score of 7:1, Colorado’s 4:1 win over Toronto with a hat-trick from Brock Nelson, and Anaheim’s 4:3 win in overtime against Calgary.

Junior forward Beckett Sennekke had a hat trick for the Ducks, his first three-goal game in the NHL.

Anaheim is in the top 3 in its league and aims to return to the play-offs.

The Ukrainian hockey championship match between Sokol and Storm took place.

If yesterday the current champion Kremenchuk sensationally conceded 9 goals and lost to the Odessa region, Sokol returned to first place by easily beating Storm 8:1.

Having defeated Kremenchug twice recently, the Kiev team took the lead in the championship, three points ahead of its main rival.
