Shipachev and Voinov extended contracts with Ak Bars until the end of the 2024/25 season

Forward Vadim Shipachev and defender Vyacheslav Voynov have extended their agreements with Ak Bars Kazan, the press service of the hockey club reports.

Players’ contracts with Ak Bars are calculated until the end of the 2024/25 season.

– By signing new contracts with leading players, Ak Bars has received stability in the future. We are glad that Shipachev and Voinov agreed to our terms. These agreements give all parties the opportunity to concentrate only on hockey, and Ak Bars fans will be able to watch the game of such strong hockey players for a longer time,” said Marat Valiullin, general manager of the club.

In early May, it was announced that Shipachev and Voinov had moved to Ak Bars from Dynamo Moscow as a result of an exchange for monetary compensation.

Shipachev, 35, has been playing for Dynamo since 2018. Last season, he played 48 games in the KHL regular season and scored 67 (24+43) points, and the forward also scored 10 (3+7) points in 11 playoff games.

Voinov, 32, spent one season at Dynamo, scoring 41 (10+31) points in 51 games with a utility index of -6.
