Ovechkin’s plans after returning to Russia became known

Russian hockey player and captain of the NHL club “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin returned to Russia, the wife of the athlete Anastasia Shubskaya said on the social network.
“Dad has arrived,” Shubskaya posted a post next to a video in which Ovechkin hugs his son when he meets.
Ovechkin is due to attend the game of the 30th round of the Tinkoff RPL Dynamo – Sochi on May 21, and is also invited to the final of the BETCITY Russian Cup Spartak – Dynamo on May 29, the press service of the White-Blues reports.
Washington on the night of May 15 stopped the fight for the Stanley Cup, losing to Florida in the first round series with a total score of 4-2.
In the NHL regular season, Ovechkin went on the ice in 77 games, scored 50 goals and made 40 assists. In the playoffs, Ovechkin scored 6 points (1+5) in 6 games.

Return and victory. Kremenchuk and Sokol played a Christmas match
A leaders’ match took place as part of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship – the current champion Kremenchuk hosted Sokol as part of the festive meeting at Christmas.
The match ended with Kremenchuk scoring 4:1, and the match was abandoned twice due to air raids.
At the same time, the home team lost 0:1, but they scored two goals on the power play in the second period and eventually hit an empty net. Vitaly Lyalka scored a double goal.
While Sokol finishes 2025 as the leader, Kremenchuk is one point behind and has a game in hand.

Junior World Hockey Championship. Calendar and match results
Traditionally, one of the most interesting hockey tournaments of the year begins – the U-20 World Junior Championship in the elite league. The tournament will take place in the USA from December 26 to January 5.
The American team will defend the title it won in Canada a year ago. However, Maple will try to heal herself after the failure.
The teams are divided into two groups of 5 teams, the top 4 will advance to the play-offs and the last two will compete for survival among the elite.
