The Czech Republic team defeated the US team in the bronze medal match of the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship, which takes place in Finland.

The meeting ended with the score 8:4. As part of the winners, a hat-trick was scored by David Pastrnak, a double by David Kampf. Roman Chervenka, Jiri Smeikal and Jiri Chernokh also distinguished themselves. The Czechs scored six goals in the third period. For the Americans, Carson Kuhlman scored a double, Adam Godette and Thomas Bordelot also scored on the puck.

The Czechs won bronze for the sixth time at the World Championships. They also have six gold medals and one silver.

Later in the final of the tournament, the teams of Finland and Canada will meet.

The 2023 World Championship was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg, but the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) deprived Russia of the right to host the tournament. The 2023 World Cup will be held in Tampere (Finland) and Riga.
