The Bavarians chose a racing car from the BMW M Motorsport program as the new MotoGP Safety Car, thereby celebrating the 50th anniversary of BMW M.

2022 is a special year for BMW M GmbH as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. The BMW M2 CS Racing celebrates this special anniversary by joining the MotoGP safety car fleet. It will lead BMW M’s fleet of safety cars for the 2022 season, which begins on March 6 with the Qatar Grand Prix, and will become the first thoroughbred race car to be used as the lead vehicle in the league.

The BMW M2 CS Racing is part of the wide range of BMW M Motorsport racing cars and is successful in various leagues. In fact, there are several international and national cups for unified games with the specific game.

In addition to the engine with up to 450 hp (depending on the version), the M2 CS Racing has helpers specially designed for motorsport, such as ABS and DSC, a mechanical limited-slip differential with pre-charging and stationary cooling, as well as specially made differentials and a carbon fiber roof.

For its role as MotoGP Safety Car, the BMW M2 CS Racing has undergone some modifications such as: B. the addition of suitable lighting systems on the roof and front. Its colors refer to the 50th anniversary and are based on the anniversary logo of BMW M GmbH. We remind you that BMW M has been a partner of MotoGP since 1999.

After several significant personnel changes in the team, Max Verstappen has finally learned who he will be working with in the Red Bull pits for the new season.

At the end of last year, it became known that three key members of the four-time world champion’s headquarters had left. According to De Telegraaf, Jeff Ayton replaced Verstappen’s vehicle control engineer Michael Manning, who left the team after the 2025 season. He has previously worked with other Red Bull drivers and worked temporarily with Verstappen in Manning’s absence last year.

Verstappen’s former engine mechanic David Mart has moved to Audi and his replacement at Red Bull has not yet been determined. Performance engineer Tom Hart is also leaving the team; He will join Williams but will continue to work with the Milton Keynes-based team for a while.
