VIDEO. F1 pilot lost control during testing at Ferrari track
Oliver Berman and the Haas team suffered an unfortunate incident during the first run of the new Haas VF-26 at Ferrari’s Fiorano circuit.
The British pilot was spinning at low speed but was able to continue the race, unlike Racing Bulls’ Arvid Lindblad.
Haas becomes the seventh team to field its 2026 car ahead of official testing in Barcelona; McLaren, Red Bull, Aston Martin and Williams have yet to do this.

Charles Leclerc reveals details of Ferrari’s first test in 2026
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc confirmed that the team did not encounter any serious problems during the races of the new Ferrari SF-26 car.
On Friday morning, the Maranello team unveiled its first car under the 2026 Formula 1 rules at the Fiorano test track. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc took a spin behind the wheel of the new car.
Since the races were held on wet asphalt, Hamilton was the first to hit the track in difficult weather conditions. Despite this, hundreds of tifosi gathered in Fiorano a few hours before the presentation to watch the SF-26’s debut live.
Leclerc took the wheel after Hamilton, but the Monegasque admitted that he could not fully feel the car’s behavior due to limited mileage and weather conditions. But the main task of the day was completed – the car started stably.
“Yes, I look forward to this day every year. The main aim is to make sure that everything works correctly and there are no major problems. That’s exactly what happened today, so it’s a positive thing,” Leclerc said.
According to Charles, it is too early to talk about the speed or feel of the car:
“From a performance perspective, it is too early to draw any conclusions. The conditions were not the best: fog and a wet track. This is not an ideal scenario for the first test.”
“It was very exciting because there is a huge amount of work behind it. It’s important to see real sensor data for the first time and make sure the car behaves as we expect it to.”

Ducati boss Dall’Igna is clear about priority number one: “First we have to confirm the renewal of Marc Marquez’s contract and then we will think about it together with Bagnaia.”
The 2026 MotoGP rider market will be in complete frenzy as everyone except Diogo Moreira is out of contract. Additionally, regulations will change in 2027 to make all decisions more blind. But in any case, everyone wants to finish the lineup as soon as possible.
The entire grill reference is no exception. The Ducati Lenovo Team wants to get everything back on track as soon as possible to begin the evolution of the bike for a new era in the championship. That means renewing Marc Marquez. World champion. Gigi Dall’IgnaBorgo Panigale’s general director wants to close the club before the season starts.
“I saw Massimo Rivola talk more about Ducati than Aprilia during his presentation, but the game is still on. My first goal is to beat the current world champion, Marc (Marquez). Just like when we wanted to check on Pecco Bagnaia before the start of the 2024 World Cup. This is the goal we are working towards,” Gigi said in an interview. GP one.
Perhaps there are still a few more questions regarding Pecco Bagnaia. Great considering two years ago he was the undisputed Italian spearhead. But everything changes in MotoGP and the three-time champion’s situation has nothing to do with 2025, a year to forget.
Pecco finished fifth overall with just two wins when Marquez swept him, and will have to leave behind the ghosts of last season when both started the year as heavy favorites. There is no such rush on Ducati’s part today, because repeating this situation is unsustainable.
”Will it take more time with Pekko? Let’s all think about it. “At the moment I believe that the biggest goal, which we are already working on in a significant way, is precisely to finish with Marquez,” he said in conclusion.
