Motogp, Live Today: Grand Prix of Catalonia | Sprint race at Montmelo with Mark Marquez, Acosta, Jorge Martin, Alex Marquez and Bagnaia

1st Marc Márquez467 points
Alex Marquez, second with 187 points
239 points third Pecco Bagnaia

Finally, Murcia won a particular war that three Austrian motorcycles had. In this way, Acosta finishes fourth, but continues the bitter taste after her Great Friday
If Alex doesn’t cut him more than two points tomorrow, at Misano he will be the champion who won the first matchball.
He had to score 10 points throughout the weekend and so far he had already taken 12.
Mark Marquez used his brother Alex to win the short race for Montmelo. Already 15 wins from the leader of the World Cup
Quartarraro and Digia close the podium in a quiet race for both.
Binder, Bastianini and Acosta are doing a few laps in a row in an incredible battle between the three. The image is very pretty out of the three fighting in the same colour, but I want to go upstairs rather than in the room.
It was done by Gresini. When I had already had the second advantage, everything went frets at curve 10. Serious error in a very expensive Cervera
Murcia wanted to overcome, but was thrown at curve 5 and lost the front train. He collapsed and took Betzekki with him. You could be sanctioned for tomorrow
They fell at the entrance to the Estadi curve. It seems to be touching on it, but it’s not clear from repeated
There is already a seventh of the advantage over his brother mark
The Italian has only taken the position since the start of the race, at 20º. Martin is the same, and struggles to overcome it. It was from the 16th to the 18th. A very difficult day
The French stays behind the mark, but Desia doesn’t overthrow it either. If KTM doesn’t respond immediately from behind, it could reach the podium
Far from being able to move Fabio forward, Pedro loses more position on DFI Giannantonio. The race is complicated.
First off, Alex has a quarter advantage over Mark
The mark has crossed both final lines at the end of the finish line, already second. Acosta will need to remove Fabio if they want to fight for victory. Alex is comfortable in front
They go in parallel in the Estadi region and include touches. Acosta took advantage of being third place
The first three remain in position despite the exchange between Marquez and Quartarrara. Acosta has already reached position and is now fourth.
All pilots come out to make their final turn before the race begins to the MotoGP sprint
According to The Time Indicator, all pilots come out with the same choice of rubber
After beating the circuit record at 1’37”536 in classification, Alex Marquez is the reference and his biggest favorite in both his sprint and his race victory on Sunday.
Anyway, his brother Mark and Pedro Acosta go to the knife behind him with the extraordinary Quartararro
how are you? MotoGP is welcome every minute with Catalan GP. In just 15 minutes, Queen category sprint races, first races of the weekend, the era of truth
The leader wanted to wake him up with Alex and take away his brother Paul, but he went for a long time with five while he was looking for the limit. He signed one of his great saves.

The Frenchman is Alex Marquez, the closest to him, staying in second place when he had to pass the first quarter previously. Cruelty about French.
Instead, Pedro Acosta has to leave the second row in fifth place. He stepped on the green on his best turn and neutralised him the time he had left him in the top three.
Paul from Alex Marquez. He showed his best version at home, achieving the first pole of the season, his second life in MotoGP.
He achieved 1:37,536, 267,000th of the Quartaro and four more to Hermnao Marc.
Curve 5 World Cup leader almost falls when he tries to overcome his brother’s time. You have to settle for the third position. Alex was out of control this morning
Alex, the surrealism, returns home. He made 1.37,536, leaving his brother in a quarter. Very bad you have to go to lose this pole
He stepped into Murcien on top of the green, obstructing the turn that the interim pole gave him.
Murcián reduces the era of Alex Marquez by 74,000 minutes
The pilot comes out to make the final classification turn. It’s not now or ever
The level of Gresini in this classification is enormous. He reduced previous returns and for Chrono at 1’37”914, now it’s the best time of the weekend
The Mark will finally close, but will remain three-thirds of the Quartarraro, which was just first placed at 1’37,960.
Cervera is located first, more than 1630th of Pedro Acosta. However, it doesn’t exceed the time of Q1 Quartarrao
Zarco just passed to Marquez at the end of the line when his first timing round began. These types are not usually found
All the pilots come out and play and roll the poles. All eyes are placed on the KTM, binder, Acosta pilot, Marquez brothers, which were the fastest yesterday.

Jorge Martin finishes for 0.5 seconds from 8th to pass, while Pecco stays at 21. The disaster of two pilots who played the title on this same circuit last year.
Murcia went red in the first sector, but lost its advantage later on the circuit, staying only 4000th! You can throw digiannantonio
Newer tires don’t offer great results. At the moment, they are on the line at a seventh to tenth of their highest record. That’s a mysterious thing
First 1:37 on the weekend. The second placement of Digia’s chrono is 139,000. Yamaha’s big return
A major return from Raul Fernandez to Ruda de Bagnaia. Digia time dropped 1/25,000
The French actually stayed just 3,000th of the time to pass directly in the second quarter, and now they’re 91,000 minutes away. He has a final attempt.
The Italians first arrive at 1’38”231, taking 95,000 hours. Bagnaia only finished 6/10th in 10th place. Very far
All the pilots will come out. Only two dents are available to fight for poles in Q2. Many fat fish to follow and play on weekends
Catalunya GP classification Q1 is full of important names. In addition to the aforementioned MIR, there are other very cash pilots who play pass in Q2. Viñales, Bagnaia, Martin, Mir, Gigian Natonio
Malolcan was already happy on Friday, but remained at the gate moving to Q2. This Saturday began with great strength and made it clear that the goal is to compete among the top 10
Master the final training at 1’39”119
how are you? Welcome to the moment leading up to the second day of Catalonia’s Grand Prix activities. In just a few minutes, classification starts with an exciting Q1. But before you finish the last free training of the day, at this point it is dominating miR

Legendary rally champion reacted to Ferrari’s decision regarding his son

Carlos Sainz Sr., father of Carlos Sainz and two-time world rally champion, has commented on Ferrari’s decision to replace his son with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Sainz was left without a seat at Ferrari last year and later joined Williams. In 2025, the Spaniard outperformed Hamilton and achieved two podiums, while the Briton had none.

Carlos Sainz Sr. emphasized that neither he nor his son criticized Hamilton:

“It’s not our problem, it’s not Carlos’ problem. Ferrari was close to winning the constructors’ championship in 2024, but this year the team has faced difficulties. My advice, and Carlos agrees, is to focus on your work. The world is already too complex to worry about everyone. Let people draw their own conclusions,” he said.

At the same time, Sainz Sr. believes that his son can become a world champion:

“I have a lot of confidence in him and I want to believe that it is possible. I am his father and I have seen how talented he is. If he is in the right place at the right time, he can really achieve this. Everything has to match perfectly. He works and fights for it,” he added.

The rally champion also noted that success depends on the car and the team:

“Unfortunately, I don’t have a crystal ball to know how teams are preparing for radical changes in F1. It all depends on the engine and the chassis. It would be good for Williams to produce a competitive car and fight for the podium. Now they can be at the bottom, middle or top of the table and under the new rules the stronger teams have more resources.”

Mercedes leader challenges Verstappen: “He’s the one I want to fight with”

Mercedes driver George Russell says he is ready to prove his ability to challenge for the Formula 1 championship and is not afraid to confront Max Verstappen directly.

The Briton had been driving for Mercedes for four seasons but joined the Brackley team just as it lost its leading position. During this time, Russell achieved five Grand Prix victories but had to watch Verstappen and Lando Norris win the titles.

On the eve of major regulatory changes in 2026, many experts see Mercedes as one of the favorites of the new technical cycle. Russell hopes this will be his chance to consistently compete at the top.

“I’m confident I can compete with the best. Max is the gold standard right now,” said Russell.

I would like to fight him head on. “This is the only pilot next to whom you can really test your level.”

After Lewis Hamilton moved to Ferrari, Russell established himself as the leader of Mercedes. The 27-year-old compares his situation to the career of Michael Schumacher, who won his first championship after working for Ferrari for five years.

“You either fight for the championship or you don’t. Nobody dreams of fighting for second place. I’m ready to take my chances and I understand that patience is required,” concluded Russell.
