Nole won the Russian’s set 2-1 and finished the group undefeated at the ATP Finals in London. In the semifinals, the Serb meets Fritz, while Medvedev is already eliminated.

The match: The two athletes started the match impressively with two full games. Djokovic and Medvedev each had chances to break their opponent’s serve in games six and seven, to no avail.

Nole made it in the eighth game and then closed the first set 6-3 without any further problems. From there we saw two dramatic sets in progress.

In the second, Medvedev managed to clear two break points from Djokovic to put the set in the tiebreak. There we had a total of five mini-breaks for Medvedev to make it 1-1 with 7-6 (5).

The Russian tennis player managed to break in the ninth game of the third set and take a 5-4 lead, but like in the match with Tsitsipas, he failed to finish the match when he served to win.
