The weather is great and the tournaments are also very well organized. We’re still a little tired from the pre-season, but we like coming to such a beautiful place with this climate. I don’t think we could. There’s no better place than Australia.”

Regarding her previous presence in Australia she said: “I’m definitely a lot better than last year. Last year I was in Adelaide and I didn’t want to be there. The gap between the WTA Finals and Adelaide was too small, I wasn’t used to that. I was emotionally charged and just not ready for it the start of the new season. This year I also used the experience from last year to be able to deal with the situation better.”

About her United Cup experience: “We experienced unique moments and were able to share all the joys together. It cheers me up every time and makes my preparation for the Australian Open a lot easier.”
