Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev believed in himself to the end in a match with Dane Holger Rune, and luck rewarded him, said Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF).
– A dizzying match that gave pleasure to all tennis fans, where everything was decided on the last balls of the tie-break in the decisive set. Andrey during the match, if you look at the statistics, was better in all key indicators.
But Rune has been luckier on many important balls – with the exception of the last one. Andrei believed in himself to the end, he was able to turn the decisive tie-break in his favor, and on the last ball, luck rewarded him,” Selivanenko told the “Championship”.
The next opponent of the Russian in the tournament will be the winner of the confrontation between Serb Novak Djokovic and Australian Alex De Minor.
