Selivanenko praised the performances of Khachanov and Rublev at the Australian Open
Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF), summed up the performance of Russian athletes at the Australian Open.
On Friday, Karen Khachanov lost to the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, for the Russian it was the first semi-final of the Australian Open in his career and the second in a row at the Grand Slam tournaments. Earlier in the quarterfinals, Andrei Rublev lost to Novak Djokovic. And in the finals of the junior tournament among the girls, 15-year-old Russians Mirra Andreeva and Alina Korneeva will meet.

Russian Karen Khachanov moved from 18th to 17th place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a new version of which was published on the organization’s website.
The best among Russians remains Daniil Medvedev, located in 13th place, Andrei Rublev is 16th. There have been no changes in the top ten rankings: Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is in the lead, Italian Jannik Sinner is second, and German representative Alexander Zverev is in third.
