Quebec Leylah Annie Fernandez lost with her partner, France Alizé Cornet, in the semifinals of the Indian Wells doubles tournament.
Both players were defeated by the Chinese Yifan Xu and Zhaxuan Yang in a straight set 7-5, 6-1 on Thursday. The match lasted only 76 minutes.
Despite dominating the statistics, Fernandez and her teammate won 42% of the exchanges (45/108), which shows a closer duel than at first glance.
