Older Rafael Nadal eliminated Nick Kyrgio in 2-1 sets (7-6 (0), 5-7, 6-4), went undefeated in 2022 and advanced to the Indian Wells semifinals where he will meet his 18-year-old -old compatriot, Carlos Alcarath.

He became the youngest player to qualify for the semifinals of the California Masters, after 17-year-old Andre Agassi in distant 1988. This was the 12th win in his 13 games that year.

The best among Russians remains Daniil Medvedev, located in 13th place, Andrei Rublev is 16th. There have been no changes in the top ten rankings: Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is in the lead, Italian Jannik Sinner is second, and German representative Alexander Zverev is in third.
