World ranking data for Sakkari and Tsitsipa ahead of the Miami Open

Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas are preparing to start at the Miami Open and Sportish presents the data that is available for the world rankings, but also for No. 1 in WTA and ATP

They haven’t played their first game at the Miami Open yet, but both Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas already know what to expect in the WTA and ATP world rankings respectively.

We always start with the women and with Maria Sakkari coming out of her long career to the Indian Wells final. Last year, Sack reached the semifinals at the Miami Open lost 2-1 set by Bianca Andrescu.

That means he has to defend 380 points. At the same time, Barty’s early retirement combined with the instability of many athletes created new data in the world rankings.

Sakkari will be ranked 4th at worst, while she can reach 2nd in the world as long as she charts a better course than Paula Bandosa. The Spaniard is the only one who can take the No. 1 from Iga Sviodek as long as she wins the cup and Poland is eliminated in the second round. Something that seems extremely difficult.

Tsitsipas is stable, Medvedev can climb back to first place

Now let’s get to the men. Things are simpler there and became even clearer after Beretini’s retirement.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will definitely remain 5th in the world rankings. What is to be distinguished is his difference with Zverev, who is fourth.

Instead, change can be at the forefront. There, Daniel Medvedev has the opportunity to return to No. 1. To do this, he must at least reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

We remind you that Novak Djokovic will not play at the Miami Open either, but his return to the tour is expected to take place in April.
