Novak Djokovic is still at the forefront of tennis. The secret of the 36-year-old’s good physical shape isn’t just that he works out long hours every day to stay in shape.

Athletes are aware that proper nutrition is a prerequisite to becoming a champion. BOf course, not everyone has the same eating habits.

The Serb is meticulous about his diet based on it proteins and carbohydrates. As soon as “Nole” wakes up, he drinks a glass of warm water with lemon before his morning meal to keep his body hydrated. His first meal is a healthy smoothie that combines vegetables and fruit.

After his morning workout, Djokovic eats carbs to recharge his batteries. Rice, starchy vegetables (potato or corn), legumes or pureed vegetables are some of the dishes that are on his menu. The 23-year-old Grand Slam winner does without fish, meat, flour, sugar and salt.
