Unfortunately, the three-set fight that the audience could see at Roland Garros did not work out. Mirra was knocked out of her third Grand Slam tournament in the second round – the worst result in her short career so far.

But even not the brightest game impressed the American audience. The Russian woman was escorted from the courts with a standing ovation. Mirra herself, leaving for the room under the stands, wiped her eyes with a towel – it was difficult to understand whether she was crying or just removing sweat.
