“I think part of the reason I got to where I am is because I believe everyone has something to teach me, so I want to share some of the things I’ve learned from people I know or admire; his wife Elina hits both of those points.
1. It is very important to take a certain position.
It is very tempting to always take a middle position and remain neutral, without risking offending anyone. And in many cases, this can be a wise decision. But sometimes, when it really matters to you, taking a stand is the most powerful thing you can do, at least for yourself. Standing up for what you believe in will certainly expose you to criticism, but will ultimately give you a sense of integrity and consistency with yourself. This is a lesson in courage that I greatly admire.
2. Separate your difficulties from yourself.
From motherhood to our returns to court, from the pressures of public life to her deep personal connection to the situation in Ukraine, Elina showed me the art of detachment without over-identification. His ability to stay sane in the midst of chaos is simply amazing. One of the things I try to implement in my life is to not take anything personally. If someone criticizes my game or writes something rude about me online, I remind myself that it’s not about me. It’s so simple but helps relieve a stressful situation.
3. Responsibility can be both rewarding and risky.
Especially during my long recovery and the first year of living together with our daughter, Elina showed me that “slowing down” does not mean “slipping.” I’ve learned that when you complete a task with enough focus, even the most boring things, like housework, become enjoyable. “I’ve discovered that being responsible as a player, husband, and father is not only important, but also very cool.”

20-year-old American tennis player Lerner Tien (ATP 28) Became the winner of the ATP 2025 Junior Final Tournament.
The Americans were defeated in the final of the competition held on indoor courts in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Alexander Blox (Belgium, ATP 116) 1 hour 1 minute.

Tien played in the Next Generation finals for the second time. He lost to João Fonseca in the decisive match in 2024.
