“We should all be happy for the performance of Medvedev in Indian -Wells” – Kunitsyn

Former Russian tennis player Igor Kunitsyn believes that Daniil Medvedev showed a good result at the Masters series tournament in Indian Wells, despite the defeat in the semifinals.

In the 1/2 finals of Masters, Medvedev lost to the Danes to Holger Rune with a score of 5: 7, 4: 6.

– What is the reason for such an unsuccessful game by Medvedev against the rune?

– Firstly, the best tournament this year for tribute. On the contrary, we should be happy for him. The first semi -final of such a serious tournament this year. Everything is fine. Just the rune played better in important moments of the mast. It seems to me that Danya will go to Miami with good sports baggage and will compete for the title there.

– Why is Medvedev are not lucky in the key segments of the game?

– You can’t say so. Each match is individual. It must be disassembled separately. It is very pleased that Danya served the entire tournament very well. A large number of victories in one tournament for such a long time. Danya plays better and better! Yes, a little did not work out, unfortunately. But a very positive tournament!

– Can Medvedev bet on Miami and win this tournament?

– There are a lot of such players who can win Miami. But Medvedev’s confidence after the Tournament in Indian Wells must help him! – quotes Kunitsyn’s words “Soviet sport”.
