Andrei Rublev looked good at the start of US Open, and when in the ⅛ final he got to the rivals of Felix Ozhe-Alyassim instead of Alexander Zverev, it seemed that the Russian would be further. He beat the Canadian in seven out of eight matches, but this time our tennis player did not work out at all.

Rublev frankly failed – the advice of Marat Safin did not help either.

Wind, legs and tranquility

On the first day of autumn, schoolchildren and students went for knowledge, and Andrei Rublev – for another victory at the US Tennis open championship. In the first circle of the tournament, the Russian defeated the three sets of Croat Dino Zhazmich, then the American Tristan Boyer was stopped, with whom the game dragged on to four parties. In the third round, the representative of Hong Kong, Chuck Lam Coleman Wong, gave our tennis player in a five-stage confrontation, but he did not control the Tokyo-2020 Olympic champion in the mixture.

In the ⅛ finals of US Open, Rublev had to fight with Canadian Felix Ozhe-Alaassim, who knocked out of the struggle for the trophy of one of the favorites-Alexander Zverev. Another opponent, according to statistics, was convenient: in the eight previous meetings, Andrei won seven times. It would seem that the chances of taking the eighth victory are real, the bookmakers preferred our tennis player.

At the beginning of the first set, the Russian began to confidently cut his counterpart, quickly winning a breakup. At that moment, when everything seemed to be good, Marat Safin from the rostrum for some reason poured advice. The titled tennis player pointed out the direction of the wind, called not to rush and tune in, spoke about his legs. For the time being, Andrei had everything turned out, but then no legends of legends helped to restrain the Canadian who made a reverse break, and then pulled out the victory in the starting batch with a score of 7: 5.

Unlucky racket

The failure seemed to have not broken Andrei. He waved to take the rival’s serving at the start of the second set – the smallest one was not enough. Safin urged Rublev not to be passive, the Russian added activity, pulled out a crazy ball, and then the most severe game. But again, something went wrong: Rublev, leading 40: 0 on his presentation, managed to make two double mistakes and gave the opponent light glasses.

If before that Andrei was restrained and did not at all look like a sample of the recent past, then after a series of offensive mistakes he flared up and took up the old. He began to peel himself on the leg, however, on the protected shoes of the unit, then hit the court with a racket, but also not with all her heart – she withstood the blow. Maybe it was worth it to lower the steam for real? The same Safin, who watched the tantrums of the younger comrade silently, at one time defeated the rackets to smithereens. And it often helped! And Rublev continued to crumble and lost the second set with a score of 3: 6.

At the start of the third batch, the situation was very sad for the Russian. He immediately gave his presentation, after which the salvation of the match turned into a super -complex task. Andrei continued to fight, but then also frank bad luck at times prevented at times. When the hand fluttered and the ball flew out of the line for some millimeters, it became clear-for our tennis player on US Open it would soon end.

In the end, Rublev pleased the fans won to zero feed, but the Canadian answered the same and, taking the set with a score of 6: 4, and the match-3-0, moves on the grid further. The next rival of Ozhe-Alaassim will be the Australian Alex de Minor.
