Tsitsipas’ way to the Australian Open final

Stefanos Tsitsipas secured the ticket for the quarterfinals of the Australian Open against Taylor Fritz. See the path of the top Greek tennis player to the final of the event.

Stefanos Tsitsipas won 3-1 after a great fight with Benoit Perr and qualified for the “16” of the Australian Open. The Greek top tennis player takes on Monday (24/01) at 10am CET with world No. 22 ranked Taylor Fritz to celebrate qualifying for the quarter-finals stage of the first Grand Slam of the season.

But what will Stefanos Tsitsipas find against him if the event continues? If he overcomes Taylor Fritz’s obstacle, he will face the winner of the pair De Minor (No. 42) – Sinner (No. 10).

The Greek tennis player is higher in the rankings than these two athletes. If all goes well and Tsitsipas advances to the semifinals of the tournament, he might find a bigger obstacle. Specifically, he meets one of the following couples, Cilic (No. 27) – Ozer Aliasim (No. 9) and Kresi (No. 70) – Medvedev (No. 2).

The most difficult opponent for Stefanos is of course the Russian, although the two have had some very good duels. If all goes well and Tsitsipas makes it to the final, we’ll have to see what else is on the other side of the tournament’s “tree” where two quarter-final pairs have already been formed. In the final are therefore Monfis (No. 20) – Beretini (No. 7) and Sapovalov (No. 14) – Nadal (No. 5).

We notice that Tsitsipas is the second strongest on the board at the moment. So why not have the right to dream.

Kalinskaya’s brother: “I think Anya will not change her citizenship. She loves Russia and wants to live here after finishing her career.”

Paris NN footballer Nikolai Kalinsky, brother of Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, believes that his sister will not change her sports citizenship.

Kalinskaya is 27 years old. She is ranked 33rd in the WTA rankings.

— When I saw that Anastasia Potapova decided to compete for Austria, I wanted to ask Anya what she would do if there was such an opportunity (to change citizenship). I haven’t had time to ask yet since we haven’t met. But I think that Anya will not change her citizenship. She loves Russia and wants to live here after finishing her career,” Sport24 quotes Kalinsky.
