Olympiacos – AEK 3:1: The Red-Whites have won the top game of the 1st match day
Olympiacos defeated AEK (25:18, 24:26, 25:17, 29:27) 3-1 on the first day of the Women’s Volleyball League in Melina Merkouri.
A big match was played between Olympiakos and AEK in Melina Merkouris for the first day of the women’s volleyball league. The red and white made it into the championship with a 3:1 victory.
The match flowed fantastically and every set was decided in detail. The Red-Whites won the first set 25-18 with Olympiakos in the lead.
AEK reacted and equalized the set 1-1 which they won 26-24. Olympiacos also took a 25-17 lead in the third set. In the fourth set he also sealed the win with 29:27, with Union trying to equalize but without success.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

The final match will take place on December 26.
