Milonas – Olympiakos 0: 3: Premiere with an away win for the red and white
Olympiacos defeated Milos 3-0 in Nea Smyrni on the opening day of the men’s volleyball league. Italgo is amazing with 16 points.
Olympiacos defeated Milos 3-0 in Smyrna and got off to a perfect start in the Volley League championship. The red-whites were superior in all areas, they had many solutions against the combative Milos, who managed to assert himself despite the poor reception and chase the score in all three sets. Hidalgo was the leader with 16 points while the red-whites had 11 aces.
Olympiacos started the match strong, taking a 3-0 mini-series through Payenk and Stern and Hidalgo leading 10-5 on serve. Milonas responded with Andreadis’ serve and his own 4-0 run, and Molina’s attack leveled the game 11-11.
A point-by-point rally ensued until 20:20 when Nanopoulos lost his serve (20:21), Efraimidis made a false attack (20:22). Indaglko with an attack made it 20:23 and Yordanov with another mistake gave Olympiakos a valuable 24:20 lead after a 4:0 run. Molina reduced personal points from service and attack for Milos 22-24 and Stern made it 25-22 and 1-0 for Olympiakos with one attack.
Milonas went into the second set strong with a 7-3 lead, but Hidalgo’s four consecutive aces, 3 of which were aces, leveled the match (7-7).

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.
