There was perfect balance in the first set up to 7-8, but PAO got the switch, Grothes served and PAO escaped with 11-8 and 13-9. Thetis cut down to 13-11 but it all ended up at 16-13 which turned into 21-13 with the greens easily hitting 1-0.

Voula’s team started the second set impressively, escaping 1-4 and 2-6, but 5-8 became 10-8 with cross crossing which caused a lot of problems with the reception of the guests who made it with a good block staying in the game and the attacks of Anthouli (17-18 with an ace of the latter). Thetis lost the opportunity to get to +2 when Aktas went out at 18-19, but got a row of bowls (23-24) which Grotesht put out as she did in the second row of bowls (25-25), to pursue them out of Dragoumanou and Grothes new attack for the 27-25 endgame.

Thetis tried to return better from the third set (7-10, 9-13) but couldn’t hold the difference when PAO approached 12-13, turning 13-14 into 17-14. The guests were reduced to 17-16 and 20-18, but without being able to achieve more, Grotesht cleared all critical phases again.
