Women’s Volley League: The semi-final pairs in the playoffs
The first phase of the Women’s Volley League playoffs has concluded and the two couples who will claim their place in the finals have been determined.
Matches of the first phase of the playoffs in women’s volleyball offered great matches and a lot of emotions after two tickets were settled in a tie-break.
Finally, Olympiakos, Aris, Panathinaikos and PAOK are in the semi-finals of the Women’s Volley League. In the first pair, the red-whites are the big favorites to qualify, while in the second pair, big fights between the greens and the Dikefalos girls are expected.

Matches will be played on alternating teams’ pitches, starting with the pitch of the team with the highest score.
For determining the seat of the first game, the final ranking of the teams in phase A will be taken into account for each position.
Match 1-4 Play-Off winners qualify for Match 1-2 Play-Off and losers for Match 3-4 Play-Off.
The two teams fighting for the three victories for the title in the Women’s Volley League qualify for the final.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:13, 30:28).
In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
