Panathinaikos defeated Kifissia 3-0 in Zirineio and now they turn their attention to the derby with Olympiakos.

Starring Thanasis Protopsaltis, who was also the top scorer with 17 points, Panathinaikos victoriously broke away from Zirineio and grabbed the precious 3 points that keep him at the top of the standings with two rounds to go in the championship. Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.

On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).

Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.

For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.
