Premiere with the victory of Olympiacos Piraeus against PAOK, with Panathinaikos also on the right side in the women’s volleyball league
Olympiacos made a strong start to this year’s women’s volleyball league with a 3-0 win against PAOK. With the right and Panathinaikos, who defeated Aris.
Olympiacos Piraeus made the best possible start to this year’s women’s volleyball league, playing a beautiful volley and beating PAOK with a 3-0 set. The red-whites were superior in all statistical categories and took the three victory points after an hour of play.
The two teams went hand in hand in the first set until the score was 14:14. At that point, Carraro went to serve and Olympiacos went on a 6-0 run to make the score 20-14. PAOK tried to respond, but Olympiakos were effective in block defense in the 25:19 scored by Koumboura.
Olympiacos dominated the second set, taking an early 4-0 lead and never pulling back from that point on to take the set to 2-0 at 25-12.
The same scenario in the third set, with Olympiakos storming in attack and the pressure on serve not allowing PAOK to develop well in attack. The 25: came of course for the last 3-0 set.

Panathinaikos started its attempt to defend its title with the right hand, defeating Aris 3-0 in the indoor match in Mikras.
Although Yannis Kalmazidis kept Maret Grotous on the bench (she returned from the European game in Holland with some discomfort), the Greens had an easy task in the first two sets as they took an early lead and maintained it relatively comfortably.
In the third set, Manolis Skoulikaris’ girls surprised and took a 4-0 lead, but the guests reacted quickly (6:6) and at 10:11, Samandan’s serve made it 10:15 without Aris ever getting in Location could match.

Much more difficult than the final score suggests, AO Markopoulos Revoil beat newcomer Apollonios 3-0 in the premiere of the Women’s Volley League.
It is significant that all sets were decided by the smallest difference and Apollonios took the lead after the 20th point in all sets.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv became the first finalist of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
