Women’s Volley League: For qualifying Panathinaikos, for the draw of the PAOK series
PAOK welcome Panathinaikos for the Women’s Volley League semi-final series, with Dikefalos hoping for a tie in the series and the Greens hoping to qualify for the final.
It’s time for the second match of the Volley League women’s semi-final series, with PAOK hosting Panathinaikos on Easter Tuesday (April 26, 7:30 p.m.) at PAOK Sports Arena.
For the second time this season, the women’s team of PAOK will play in “Palataki”, where they want to equalize the series with the cloverleaf and send the qualification to a third game in Maroussi.
In the first game of the semifinals, Panathinaikos capitalized on the home factor and clinched the win by 3-0 sets, their second this season against PAOK in three games.
Italian coach Marco Feolio is counting on all his athletes and stressed: “In Athens we played well in the 1st and 2nd sets, but our mistakes created a problem. I’m optimistic that we’ll play better at home and it will be different than in the first leg. We know the points to pay attention to in the regular part. I expect a difficult game where the strongest will win.”
Panathinaikos wants to finish the streak in Thessaloniki to get the ticket to the Women’s Volley League final. Serbia coach Branko Gajc is not absent and said: “We are ready for tomorrow, we will fight for victory and qualify for the final. We have to do better than the last game because PAOK is at home this time and it will definitely be a difficult game. We are ready and we will fight”
