From then on, Olympiacos managed to escape the score again as Panathinaikos tried to equalize the difference, but failed to do so this time, and so the first set went to the home team 25-21.

In the second there was a big battle between the two teams, which was decided in detail. They both hit the serve as hard as they could.

This meant that no one could escape and took turns taking the lead until the finale. Finally, the ball landed on the green with a pitch from Hernandez and an ace from Voulkidis, making it 33-31.

From then on, Olympiacos Piraeus completely dominated the derby. Using his serve as a weapon, he managed to easily win the next two sets with 25:22 and 25:20 respectively and achieve a clear 3-1 set win.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane

The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.

The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.

“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”

I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.

I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.

The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
