The tragedy of a volleyball player shocked Russia. The body of Sergei was found a month after a sudden disappearance
The circumstances of the death of an 18-year-old athlete are raising questions.
The volleyball player disappeared almost immediately after the end of the season. After several weeks of searches, the body of a young athlete was found 55 kilometers from the place of disappearance – a terrible outcome.
The disappearance of the athlete
Sergei Pavlov played for the Kuzbass-2 youth club at the position of a dogman. In mid -April, he finished the season with the team, which took eighth place in the final stage. The last matches were held in Nizhnevartovsk, after which the athlete returned to Kemerovo. After almost two weeks, Pavlov disappeared.
The last time Sergey was seen on the Kuznetsk bridge over the Tom River. All information and details end there. An 18-year-old guy of 193 centimeters just disappeared without a trace. The most amazing thing was that there was not a single witness and not a single clue.
The searches immediately took up the police and volunteers. Representatives of Kuzbass said they rendered full assistance. It was assumed that Pavlov disappeared in the evening – approximately between 21:00 and midnight. Volunteers and investigators tried to find at least someone who could drive or walk along the bridge at that time. But a week after a week – and no traces.
And on May 28, the press service of the Kemerovo Kuzbass reported the death of Pavlov.

According to the portal ngs42.ru, the athlete’s body was discovered in the Yashkinsky district – 55 kilometers from Kemerovo. According to preliminary data, Pavlov drowned. However, the investigation does not yet call the official cause of death. The regional investigative committee opened a criminal case, the details of which are also not disclosed
The death of a talented young athlete shocked not only volleyball lovers, but also many people who are far from sports and did not know Sergey personally. They leave comments with condolences on social networks and hope that the circumstances of the tragedy will be able to establish.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.

A record attendance at the Russian volleyball championships was set at the hockey arena in Omsk
The match of the 17th round of the Women’s Super League “Omichka” – “Proton” (3:0) set an attendance record for the Russian championships, reports the press service of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.
The match took place on Saturday in Omsk at the arena of the Avangard hockey club. The game was attended by 8,045 spectators, which became a new record for Russian volleyball championships.
The previous record belonged to St. Petersburg, where in 2018, 7,450 people were present at the match between St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit.
