The head coach of the Kaliningrad Lokomotiv Andrey Voronkov should be held responsible for an incorrect statement during the final match of the Russian championship against Uralochka-NTMK, said the head coach of the club from the Sverdlovsk region Nikolai Karpol.

Uralochka-NTMK General Director Valentina Ogienko called the situation an “international scandal”, noting that Voronkov’s apology to Montalvo should be public.

It is also impossible to miss this for the Lokomotiv team, the club management and not only the club. Andrei Voronkov must officially apologize to Ailama. Deputy Director General of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF) Mikhail Podlozny suggested that the organization’s disciplinary commission might look into the incident.
– Will the VFV take action? So far I have no such information, unfortunately. In the broadcast yesterday, I heard “catching someone”, I didn’t hear more specifically. If this information is confirmed, we will, of course, analyze this point. Do you remember the recent case when we disqualified the head coach of Proton Yuri Marichev for a certain gesture, which was applied for by the match inspector. And the disciplinary commission of the VFV punished Marichev with a disqualification for 3 matches and a suspended sentence for 2 years.

The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
