Qualification for Panathinaikos in the Quarterfinals of the Challenge Cup

Panathinaikos returned to the elite of a European tournament after 2009. The Greens, who won the result of the first game, won the expected two sets against Pontoliani of Ukraine and secured their presence in the last eight of the Chal Cup with short procedures. .
Dimitris Andreopoulos’ side didn’t give their opponent any room, going from a comfortable 25-17 in the first set to 25-22 in the second, winning yet another qualifier in their impressive run of the tournament so far. Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.
