Panathinaikos defeated Porphyras 3-0 in Game 18 of the Women’s Volley League. PAOK defeated the Amazons while Thetida beat AEK 3-1.

Panathinaikos continued their winning streak in the Women’s Volley League, beating Porphyras 3-0 in the final match before their Challenge Cup match against Tenerife. In the first set, Panathinaikos didn’t find it difficult to build up a sufficient lead (21:16) for the 1-0 set (25:20).

Porphyras started the second set strong, scoring a +4 (2-8) difference to level the greens. Towards the end of the set, where the hosts pressed the reception of the guests with Metaxa in service and made the 2-0 set with 25:23 Konstantinos with polyphony in attack. The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.

The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.

“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”

I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.

I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.

The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
