Giota renewed for another season
Katerina Giota will also wear the red-whites in the 2022-23 season, with the Greek headquarters signing a new deal with Olympiakos that will keep her at the club for the 10th consecutive season.
He anchored in the Grand Harbor in 2013 and has no plans to leave the team that has made him so successful in recent years.
The reason for Katerina Giota, who had agreed with the management of Olympiacos to remain in the Piraeus women’s volleyball team for the new season, signed with the Greek headquarters to complete a full decade in the great port.
“I am very happy to stay in the Olympiacos family for another year. We have built an excellent relationship with the team over the years and there is mutual respect and appreciation.
“I am proud and honored to wear the Olympic jersey for the 10th time,” indicated on the club’s official website immediately after the formalization of the agreement.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.
